About

My name is Geri D'Alessio. I've been providing mental health and pastoral counseling in the New York metro area for over 20 years. After serving as president (and founder) of the Long Island chapter of NYMHCA (NY Mental Health Counselor's Assn) and teaching at Yeshiva University, I found myself in the role of caregiver...first, to each of my parents before they passed away - and then to a small child who needed a home. That child is now 7 years old and still in our care. I've learned much in these years - about love and sacrifice, humility and vulnerability, strength and weakness - and total dependence on God. 

The experiences of the last few years have changed, not only the way I live, but the way I work with my clients.
